I've taken previews on both Android phones and now 2x for my WP.
While this DP of 8.1 is far from being perfect,it is miles ahead than anything I have ever used on Android.
No Ota download is perfect for everyone. All have had issues of some sort or another and crap happens to the best of us sooner or later.
People on these types of forums are here for many reasons,but I feel most are here to see and learn about the latest thing available and as such download previews to have the latest and greatest,and as more and more new folks find places like this,hence more and more folks start complaining about issues cropping up with it.
People in general understand what a Beta program is,but many new folks don't understand what a preview actually is.They see folks saying it's final and think it is the same as going into a ATT store and buying it for their carrier,which it isn't.
For what is is,it's very good,however it is far from being perfect and truth be told,is a real good tool for Microsoft,since they get to see a wide spectrum of different users with a wide spectrum of different phones and carriers all at once. Like it or not,even though this is called a preview,we are all beta testing for them,just as any other os does.
Is the grass really any greener with other OS's no not really previews are previews regardless what os it's on,and all full RC OS's that come Ota downloads have the potential to cause issues if not complete or if something is left over to conflict with the new.
