jpg compression on Microsoft Camera

Hello every body (and a happy new year). I'm a 3 weeks 640 xl user. Today I noticed that the jpgs from the stock camera are noticably better. Larger files and less artifacts which means better compression. On the other hand I maybe wrong.

not aware of any camera updates that would explain this. Maybe your environment changed recently? e.g. you had a lot of snow (higher compression) that melted away (lower compression)?

btw. did you know you can have the camera save raw image files with a little work? No compression, no artifacts...
