Just started my Insider journey...

just tested, semi dark room. Lumia camera high res image is 8.12MB while MS camera image for same situation is 4.84MB. Dimensions are the same (34MP) and same bit depth

I am using the insider slow ring and I didn't see a message...until I started to leave windows insider. As in, hit the ... at the bottom right, tap stop (or leave) windows insider. When I did that I got a message a build was ready for me to download. So then I hit cancel and went to updates, and downloaded. Does that help?

No! But I found another, crazy way and it worked!
A little background story first.
I was using Insider App and testing builds mostly on Fast ring. But I was getting disappointed so I was returning to 8.1
One day the app refused to give me any builds! This was after the official release of the update, leaving my Lumia 1020 out of the plans for updating. But no builds either for me.
So yesterday, I did something crazy: Installed and run review for developers: app from the Store. It installed and downloaded the configuration :
Then I installed Insider app and all of a sudden, I got fast slow and release rings. I am now downloading the latest update after .107 was first installed.
If I had chosen slow ring I might have got Redstone, I don't know.

The :no builds: message was redirecting me to login again, but i was already logged in. So, Did I fool Microsoft by using their old app?

I'm not sure why but release preview ring has stopped showing up for me...i can only choose between slow and fast

Are you on Slow or Fast build right now?

If you are, those are Redstone builds... You can't use Insider to revert. Release and Production are Threshold...

You can go from Threshold up to Redstone with Insider, but not back down the ladder.

To get off Redstone, use WDRT to revert to 8.1 and then either Upgrade Advisor to get official or Insider to get Release.

Well, my HTC One locked up this morning. I was walking with Runmaster (to measure steps and distance) and reading from MS Word. Twice I paused the run program to do some exercises. Phone went to sleep each time. First time, woke it up and Word was a black screen. Was able to hold the arrow soft key and get back to the run program. Then get Word back working. Second time it wouldn't respond. All I'd get is the soft keys at the bottom. Still running build .420. If I plug it in, the charge light comes on, and the Windows phone connector sees the phone, but I can't see anything on the screen. Am I stuck?
[edit] Held the power button down with the volume down for about 15 seconds and the phone rebooted. Everything seems to be okay. Phew.
