Hello everybody,

I just got my Redfly and have one big problem with it. The keyboard doesn't work properly with logmein. I can't type space. I also can't use the buttons which are mapped differently on a german Keyboard.
I'm using a HTC Touch Diamaond and try to acces a Win XP machine. The keyboard layout at both is german. I tried changing it to english but it didn't help. Has anybody any idea how to fix this problem because using logmein was the main reason I bought the redfly.

Thanks in advance!

Ouch. I've used a German keyboard. Loads different to US/English keyboard. My guess is you'll need to get RedFly to come up with a German keyboard driver.

You could try setting your PC to English - or is that what you meant when you said you tried changing to English?

Yes that was what I meant. I tried switchen the Diamonds's keyboard to english layout as well as the keyboard layout on my computer.

So can you try setting the OS language on the PC to English too? Or is that too inconvenient?

I think there's some problem with the Diamond and LogMeIn. It's not directly related to the Redfly because no external keyboard I've tried will register a space with this combination. (I also ran into this in my testing of a small Bluetooth keyboard and the Diamond.)

I've notified LogMeIn of this problem.

I am using RDP to get remote desktop access on my Treo 700wx and it works flawlessly. I know with RDP if you install the client to the storage card the keyboard won't work, but that doesn't sound like it applies in your situation.

You might want to try RDP if you really need remote access ASAP.

How to use RDP?

I have a Treo 700w. What do I do to use RDP to access my PC through it? I don't know anything about RDP. How would I set up my PC to allow my phone to connect to and control it?

I've notified LogMeIn of this problem.
Here is their response:
You will need to use the original small keyboard that does work. We are aware of the issue with the other keyboards.

This doesn't make me optimistic that a fix is on the way. Still, I'll keep my fingers crossed.
