Live tiles showing blank on Surface 3?

I had this same issue last year with blank live tiles.
I tried reinstalling Win 10 from under settings and recovery, but still didn't work.
I had to go and Download a fresh copy of 10, then it worked.
Now same issue has returned again.
Anybody else ever had this issue.
These live tiles just stay blank, Apps work fine other than that.

Live tiles are fixed with Creators Update, for Now?

An easy way to fix this problem (though only temporarily) is the following:

1. Open an Explorer window
2. Open Task Manager, make sure you're in "More Details" view
3. Select the "Windows Explorer" entry on the Processes tab
4. Click the "Restart" button in the lower right corner

Probably a bit late now, considering 16299 may already resolve it. I also experienced a few tiles disappearing. When it did, I would change from tablet mode to desktop mode, and back again. This restored the tiles.
