My firmware is 1402 on a UK 1520, when I look for an update there is nothing.
What are the full OS and firmware builds listed? Going by the 1402 and 1407 isn't as important as going by the second number. If you're on a firmware that has 3534 you're out of date. If you have a firmware that says 3562 then you're up to date.
So you should be at something like 8.0.10521.155 with firmware 1028.3562.1402.1001 if you're up to date.
It is just how Windows Phone Handles it. Sorry. Maybe this behavior will change in 8.1 probably not. WP is stable and doesn't seem to be designed with restarts in mind. Hence, how you can't charge your phone and it stay off.I have a strange problem with my 1520, i keep my ringtone on 20....everytime i restart my phone the ringtone is on 13...any idea what's the problem?

So far, I have seen only one other person with this "bug" from browsing these forums.
My micro SD (64 GB sandisk, 32 GB sandisk, and kingston 16 GB ) cannot be detected by the phone. The Micro SD option is grayed out under Settings.
In addition, the phones takes much longer to reboot (about 4-5 minutes) when there is an SD card, even though it is not detecting it.
Done a factory reset and formatted the cards as per Nokia customer support, but the bug remains.
Anyone else know why my Lumia 1520 cannot read / detect my Micro SD? or had the same problem?
I am attaching some screen shots.

That is the original build for the phones. They have had at least 2 updates since that build.
When you check for updates are you connected to WiFi?
What makes you think that is a phone bug and not an issue with the types of cards you are using? What "speed/type" are they?
Ok, so I got the update problem fixed. And I think the sensitivity problem got better, not gonna say completely fixed, but it's getting there. It's not an issue anymore.
One thing I did notice after the update, my phone used to have almost 0 battery drain when the phone is on standby, now it drains around 2% each hour on standby. Does anybody else notice this or is it just me?
Between 1-2% drain is normal on standby if you're not in a perfect cell reception zone and/or if you leave WiFi on.
Thanks! I made sure to look up the cards in the forum prior to purchasing. Others have had success with the cards. Here they are:

I always leave WiFi on, is that good or bad?
