Hi!

Got my Lumia 520 today and tried to use it as a slave modem for my iPod Touch. Worked fine with my old Sony Ericsson J10i2, but now the iPod says "Windows Phone is not supported". :eck:

Why is that? Is there no work around this as the iPod Touch worked fine outside areas with free WiFi, using the GSM phone's connection.

You need to share your phone as a Wifi access point, not as a bluetooth modem.
In settings, go to Internet Sharing, pretty straightforward from that point.

I've found bluetooth generally a bit flakey on my 520. Major problem being Windows 8!

 Thanks! So simple, so kind that you replied so soon! Worked like a charm! I was one-way on the Bluetooth road, and didn't realize that the Lumia could work as a WiFi slave....

Now used the Lumia for 12 hours and it's different but nice to use. Feel like a rebel not using iPhone  Sweet // Newbie
