Lumia 640 XL Bugs + Defects

I bought 640 XL and upgraded to windows 10.
Over night battery is drained to <2% and when i woke up in morning it was switched off.
For charged from 2% to 40% it took 2 hour.
I have tested it for past 3 days, results are same.

I'm using lumia 720 form past 3.5 year, recently i have updated it to Windows 10 through insider preview yet it is giving me a better backup than 640 XL.

What am i suppose to do, please help me out.

I have the 640XL (9 months), and have no issues with battery staying charged ... in fact it's quite impressive how long the battery stays charged and it will charge from 5% to 100% in approx. 30 min!

Like anything that comes off an assembly line, you are always going to have the odd one that is a lemon.

Windows 10 drains the battery faster on these phones. When I first bought the phone with Windows 8.1 I could go about 2 days on a charge. With Windows 10 I could only do a day. Now that I've rolled back to 8.1 I'm again getting 2 days of battery life.

never again a windows phone, touch screen is only iffy at times, web pages wont close, charge takes about 2hrs(not too bad i suppose),my number keeps reverting back to visible to no one which is very annoying, and still the awful app store let android in for crying out loud, only good thing i can say it has a inbuilt fm radio.

excuse me, my lumia 640 xl keep removing the photos and some time just give black picture instead of the real picture that i want to see.
is the problem with the memory card or virus effects, and how can i recover it....
should i do the factory recovery or is it enough to format my memory card....

Hello
On my Lumia 640 XL bought One year ago I can't use the touchscreen and the cellphone just keeps on getting on and off. I power it on, it jumps directly to the home menu giving me airplane mode and not being able to use the touchscreen to move but still seeing the animations, and after a minute or so it switches off. What should I do?

Trash it, buy a new one. I don't know, right now I am on a hate rage, my Windows phone is failing almost by staring at it.

After the latest update my screen suddenly had this white glow effect on the edges. How can I remove that?

Try resetting the phone. It's always a good practice to start clean slate after major updates. Also don't restore. Take the extra time to set it up one more time. Might solve your issue.

Well. You have the right to express. I got mine. It's the best OS I have known and used. I am not other OSes hater or Windows ******, I have used all the OSes available and existed (mostly) and find Windows Phone OS to be the best, on all accounts. This might sound rude but I can't resist saying this. If you know things and know what you are doing, you will like Windows phone OS.

Hi I updated to Win 10 in my 640 XL LTE Dual was working fine. 2 days ago I just tried to restart but the phone is now not starting...just showing Win 10 logo and going slient...tried hard reset twice..ANY HELP?!

if yoy didnt have the phone pluuged to charger while updating could of totally drained battery, plug charger in and leave for a while, i had that prob. might not be same but worked for me.

I just got mine, and for some reason a large number of apps said, Attention required. Tap here. This was all well and good until after trying repeatedly to attend to it. Each app downloads halfway, then repeats the same message. It's very frustratingm and if anyone has any tips, I'd appreciate it.

The error code for when it happens is c101b000. If it doesn't get fixed soon, I'll be switching to Android instead.

DIGITAL VIDEO STABILIZATION

I figured I'd ask here as well:
Am I really the ONLY ONE who experiences dropped frames (slightly laggy video) when recording at 1080p/30fps with digital video stabilization turned on?

I've already asked about this in the 730/735 forums and I've found topics about it on the Feedback Hub from 640/640XL users as well.

More info in my original topic: http://forums.windowscentral.com/no...video-stabilization-~26-fps-instead-30-a.html

Have to agree think what many are forgetting to do is a hard reset after the windows 10 mobile upgrade is completed doing so sorts out most issues
