Dear nokia indian user. This message is for all nokia lumia using windows 8 version, model no- 520, 620, 720, 920, 925. Amber update is releasing either on 14-aug-2013 or on the releasing date of nokia lumia 925 in india which is in the last week of august 2013. This information is been said from nokia kolkata, wb, india executive. So we have to wait for it. And the download size is been confirmed 1.29gb and it should be able to download only through wifi connection in phone else download from nokia care suite or nokia software updater.

hello guys. thanks for waiting for long time. please take a important note for all Nokia Lumia win 8 and 7 user for India.

The following updates are releasing within the schedule time. So please take a note.

Nokia Lumia 710/800- here maps updated on 13-08-13-14:20 ist
Nokia Lumia 620- amber update on 14-08-13-23:00 ist
Nokia Lumia 720- amber update on 14-08-13-23:00 ist or 21-08-13-23:00 ist
Nokia Lumia 820- amber update on 14-08-13-09:00 ist
Nokia Lumia 920- amber update on 14-08-13-09:00 ist

This is update for only India user. All the updates will be available using Nokia Care Suite on the mentioned time
OTA update will inform the user if the phone is conencted to internet. And if Nokia user wanted to update the phone Nokia Care Center or service center, then they can visit the service center on 21-08-13-10:00 ist to get the update

All the dates are official confirmed from Nokia Care Executive Kolkata, West Bengal India
once release before the time or in the time i will inform you guys with a link in order to donwload the firmware manually including instruction.

Any question, anyone, ask me

Just make sure that all the data is backup before updating ur phone and only Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 yellow and red colour user will first receive the update after that rest other Lumia series will receive the update.

1) Will I lose all my apps(including the apps that I had purchased) after the update?
2) Are the release time above the official release time? If so can we have an exact ETA on the 720's Update?
3) In the end you mentioned Lumia 820 and 920 some colour specific users will receive the update first. Does the same apply for the Lumia 720 users?
4) Will the Lumia 520 receive the Amber Update? (Some websites say it'll receive the update. However you haven't mentioned anything about it).

1) if u update manually, not OTA then yess u will lose all ur apps, u need to reinstall them, but if u log in in the phone with same email then u will be able to download all apps u paid for free, it means that when u purchase in future another windows phone then still u can download all paid apps that u have paid once for free.

3) yeah lumia 520 will receive amber update, it will not have glance screen feature but it will have smart cam app and double tap to wake phone and fm radio and colour profiles ans sms call filter
