Lumia 830 - Nexus 5 Qi charger noise

When it's on my Nexus 5 Qi charger, my Lumia 830 makes a popping noise that sounds like the element in its back cover or in the Qi charger is vibrating (wrong word, but can't think of the right one at the moment).

Anybody else using a Qi charger and having this issue? It's driving me batty at night; just loud enough to be something of a Chinese water torture.

That sounds like it's your wireless charger, and nothing to do with the Lumia 830. I've heard of some Qi chargers being noisy but I've never experienced it myself. I have a Lumia 830.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards that myself. No funds for a new charger, and it's just enough to keep me awake. Grrr.

Try to "change" the position of your phone on your QI charger.

My experience with the L830 on qi chargers was that I had to move the phone up so that the lower third of the phone would cover the center of the charger to reduce high frequency sound. You could still hear it but it was much better.

I had stopped using my charger because of the noise and unreliability, maybe I'll give it another go tonight.

On an unrelated note, I just spent an unnecessary large amount of time customizing my profile. I'm not sure why all those color tools exist but I'm glad they do.
