Re: lumia 920 Battery Issues
So, I did a clean restore of everything two days ago, charged my phone to full before bed, and took it off the charger. The graph below is a pretty good representation of about
21 hours off the charger, with maybe 9 hours of idle time. I thought it was pretty good, though there are a couple interesting things to note. First, you can see a part where the battery goes up. I DID NOT charge at any point here. This is where I rebooted (it was actually an accident I was clasping the phone in my hand and long pressed the button and swiped just right, LOL!). I have seen this happen a lot; a reboot actually shows you have more battery than you thought you did. Another thing I found quite interesting is the rathe of decline of the battery. During the last two hours of the graph I was at the gym doing nothing but streaming Nokia Music over wifi to headphones. There were no texts, no calls, and no emails during this time (it was late in the evening). The only possible thing to update would be the weather app, and of course the battery app itself. As you can see, the rate it declined wasn't exactly steady, though I guess it would fall within acceptable error.
For those interested, my usage consisted of about 150 SMS back and forth, 50 emails, roughly 3 hours of wifi nokia music streaming, 2 hours of phone calls with about 45 minutes of that being on speakerphone, maybe four hours of internet browsing, checking and reading news articles, use of xvmc remote, etc. I think that is a pretty decent battery life (before I wasn't getting through the day), but would like to suggest that software calibaration be the issue. I simply don't think the software really knows when the battery is full or when the battery is dead. I would say we are getting liberal estimates of when the battery is full (and then it stops charging), thus reducing your overall battery life.
