Lumia 920 heating up after playing games like Real Football 2013, Asphalt 7

Is anyone else having such issues? The phone starts to heat up (it's more than warm) after lpaying these games for more than 5 minutes. Is this a recurring issue?

I get this when I play those games. I assume its the gpu. I don't really think its "an issue" just because the heat has to go somewhere.

Any time you stress a CPU/GPU it's going to generate more heat. This is perfectly normal.

Once my phone gets two hot, I let it just cool down before I do anything else. this is something that needs to be fixed. Getting warm is okay, but my phone gets HOT! I wonder if I could cook an egg on it.

yea this is normal behavior for gaming. although Qualcomm should be called out for false advertising because they said Snapdragon S4 runs cool..

I actually think it is the screen getting that hot, not the cpu/gpu. During games the screen brightness goes all the way up.

I think its a mix of many things coming together, its a thick phone that has so many gadgets in it that is hard to cool it down. Before portico my phone was really snappy and fast but it got hot a lot after portico hotness calmed down but I could feel that it got dialed back a little and became a little slower.

I am pretty sure that the upper portion of the device is getting hot and not the screen. I am gonna check with Nokia on this soon.

My device gets heated up in less than 5 mins as well. Asked Nokia care and they asked me to check after the 1308 update and the heat issue remains the same even after the update . Have you got any help from Nokia care?

The phone just gets hot man. iPhone does the same when playing high intensity games.

If I play something not intensive like Gravity Guy 1, its cool. Bejeweled, cool. Then asphalt 7 and it goes hot.

Yes this phone can get crazy hot, messenger apps seem to be the worst from what I hear.

Mine does it all the time for most of the big games and at times when using youtube/heavy browsing. It is actually very annoying since the phone is a tad hotter than warm. I am worried if this heating might contribute to the already horrendous battery drain of my L920
