Lumia 920 Update for Middle East

I am currently on the 1249.1002 firmware. When I check the phone update option it doesn't show me any available updates, but when I connected the phone via the Nokia Software Updater for Retail, it shows me an update of 1308.0002 available for my phone. The concern with me is that the last four digits of the latest firmware isn't going in sync with the 1002 of the currently installed firmware.

I am worried that if I do update using the Software Updater, I may lose all my data.

P.S. - The phone is purchased from Dubai, but it's used in India. Will that be causing an issue??

the one you found on the software updater is the new firmware according to region but since you are flashing it through the updater, from what I know, you l be losing your data..better wait for the ota update if the data prob seems upsetting..

and no using it in India is not the issue..

You're using it in the middle east, I mean your Lumia 920?? Have you got your end of the update yet??

nope..still shows up to date...same on my 620 too...i guess we l have to wait a bit more

I lost my data when I downloaded it but I knew that beforehand. Up to you if you want to wait for the OTA version or not. I just had to update.

Same here, using Lumia 920 from UAE in India, but no 1308 yet. :-\
The Nokia MEA support website shows the latest firmware for Lumia 920 as 1308.

I'm in Kuwait and still nothing here... whether I set the phone region to Kuwait, US, UK or India :angry:

Trying hard to get 1308 OTA and now people everywhere else are already using 1314.

this is off thread but letting you know my lumia 620(middle east version) got an update now...while my 920 hasnt...so i guess its coming in soon and yup il update it here if the 620's is the latest version...

which phone are you using? i specifically mentioned it was for the lumia 620...my lumia 920 hasn't been updated too

still no 1308 firmware update for UAE bought 920. This is really frustrating. We always get the firmware's last. Noticed the same with the Portico update.

Just fyi, I'm using a UK purchased unbranded unlocked 920 here in DXB on Etisalat and it was OTA updated to 1308 last week...

As your phone was purchased in the UK you got the OTA updates releases for UK UNLOCKED L920 and not ME UNLOCKED L920. As far as i know it does not matter on which carrier you are on for the UNLOCKED phones its the series of the L920 you are using that counts.
