I have noticed when going onto google on my phone that there is burn in of the tiles on the screen. tried hard resets etc where do I stand with this regarding repair of the device. The device is on contract and I purchased the phone in september

You're saying that you see burn-in of tile outlines when you navigate to a white screen? Same thing happen when you have a blank white screen in Microsoft Word or a new tab in Internet Explorer for example?

It's the amoled technology, all amoled screens have it. it's because the blue leds degrade faster than the geen or red ones. so yes after a while you get the burn in effect. it's mostly visible on gray like in the alarm settings. not much you can do about it exept replace the screen if it get too much to handle.
