Lumia Icon Shuts Off with as little as a 'tap'

My sons Icon randomly shuts off and only takes a 'tap' to shut it off. It is kind of reminiscent of the HTC 8x that I once had with SIM card issues that were solved with a piece of tape... But the SIM card on the Icon appears very secure. Any thoughts of what is going on? Do I need to contact Verizon and look at a replacement device under warranty? It is 1 year Warranty, right?

Maybe the flex cable which connects the battery to the mainboard? Could be loose.
