I'm just going to wait for it to be leaked on XDA. Which will probably take 2 days. But I read that it was only for active developers. MS isn't playing fair. Seems like people who were waiting for Mango to start dev apps will be left out in the cold.

I paid the $99 and dev unlocked my phone just for the access to the registry (for live tile refresh, custom colors, etc). I've never published an app, though I've tinkered with writing a few and will certainly do it now that mango is here. I got my email an hour ago. I think the rollout is just going to take a bit, but i am proof that they aren't giving them out according to any restrictions.

This makes me kinda nervous because the directions say to make sure you're on 7390 or 7392 before you proceed. The Trophy has 7389. BUT later on it says that 7389 is supported. Also the directions mention the Arrive which I believe is also 7389 so it may have just been an oversight.

I might try the update later tonight if I have time.

What sucks is that I have developed a lot of apps and released them, and I got the invite. But I can not update because I am on a Focus 1.4, and you need NoDo or later to update; and use poor 1.4 Focus owners still have not even gotten the "February" update.

I just read on WMPU that multiple devices can be unlocked per dev. Yay!

Yes, but if the Mango beta bricks anything, MS will only support one of the devices. I'm hesitating because of this since I'm sharing an AppHub membership with a friend of mine.

I don't understand why MS would have this limitation. You can only unlock 3 phones per membership anyway, is it that big of a deal to support all 3 instead of just 1? They're basically saying FU to any small dev teams that work on the same app together. Blows my mind.

No, you can only unlock 3 phones at a time. You can unlock a phone, install mango, and then relock it with no problem. So, you could do unlimited phones then; just like you can have unlimited phones unlocked but only 3 at a time.

My aggro is up past 10000 just seeing people able to download Mango, and I can't. Guess I'll shell out 99 bucks for a dev account.

Ok, I guess I sort of understand that. They shouldn't support people who are running a phone unlocking service or anything like that. But surely they could keep track and only offer support to 3 phones per account. It seems like the whole reason they offer 3 unlocks is for small dev teams. I mean, I guess I could get my own subscription, but if you have to do that then why even bother to allow 3 unlocked phones at a time?

Sorry, I'm kind of internally raging over this. We're not trying to game the system here by unlocking as many phones as we can. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Why are you so upset about this? Microsoft released the Mango beta to developers to allow them to test their apps and get a feel for the new features. It is not intended for the average user to run yet. If you aren't a registered developer, you aren't supposed to have it.

Sorry, but how am I supposed to know that?
FYI, if anyone was using accent color or registry editor to make changes, you better change it back before upgrading to Mango, or your suck with it. Like me :/

you could always restore with your backup, set the colors to what you want, and then reinstall the mango update...of course that's only if you have 8 hours to kill ;)

I hate you guys, so much! I got invite and everything, but Focus 1.4 is just like kicking a midget turtle while it is down on its back!

LOL, I'll stick with my blueish, purpleish, slightly grey, with black fonts color scheme.

I'm going to try and reinstall the side apps. But I think MS changed the light/dark theme location or set up. I never modified my dark theme, but it now seems to be halfway following the modifications I did to the light theme.
