Microsoft Band 2 Shipping

Has anyone who ordered after October 26 received a shipping notice?

They have said that my arrival date is now back to the 20th, but I don't believe them.. didn't even acknowledge their previous email. When I phoned MS support before this, the lady had no idea what she was doing and told me it would arrive this week.. Goes to show you what using the cheapest call centers will do for you.

Finally got a voice message yesterday from Microsoft Store. They had problems with pre-orders shipping to Canada so my order have been shipped back to warehouse. They asked me to cancel my current order and place a new one with a 20$ rebate. Don't know when I will get it.

So as of yesterday it's left China, via Japan, departed Memphis and is about to land in Vancouver.

I'm expecting delivery today.

A week early, which is good. But three weeks after charging me. Not fair

However I just received an email with the same info Mario posted. Except Band 2 is not officially available in Canada until Nov 20 which is why original pre-orders are being cancelled. Looks like I get to re-order the pre-order :eck:

Without communicating further with me, MS has refunded the band 2 and left my pre-order as pending for delivery on the 20th.. I guess that is fair.

So today I got "the email". My package is in Winnipeg (I know because FedEx called me) but Microsoft has refunded me and asked me to reorder.

Great. Should a sprung for a Gear S2 or a fit bit. This is ridiculous

I'm wondering if it's still going to show up on your doorstep, since it's clearly not been pulled back as MS claims. Mine has made it's way to Memphis, via Japan, but my order was cancelled a week ago and I have since re-ordered through BestBuy.

It can't be this hard to run a product launch. They need new logistics people.

I just sent them a nasty email, I don't think I could hold my composure if I talked to them on the phone.

I ordered a Band 2 and Complete. When its finally in Canada, they refund me (get this), ONLY the band. Ask me to order again. Now the new date is Dec 4th. And do I order Complete again? Did they bill me for Complete?

Two weeks after I could walk into a store and buy it for myself. My wife got a Gear S2. Billed 3 days before launch, landed here the day before launch.

Mine now says "Shipment Exception - Package Part of Incomplete Shipment". I wonder if this has anything to do with the Complete Care that I ordered (which wasn't cancelled) and the Band that I ordered, which was. Lol...

Well mine says the same thing. I don't think this has to do with Complete Care. I think this is the way that they are holding the shipment, waiting to see if we reorder the items (why the hell are they doing this anyway?).

It looks like there is no way around the Nov 20 launch for Canada that was announced back in October. The shipping notification snafu only made it more obvious than needed.

Overall, how many Band 2's are being made and are shipping? Amazon has been "temporarily out of stock" for the Mediums for a week or two. The Band 2 is slipping further and further down Amazon's best seller lists with each passing day. Fun fact, it takes about 10 days to ship from China by ocean freight.

For us Canadians, MS employed a generous amount of lack of intelligence.. they did more harm than good by pulling back orders that were going early. Holding to a release date for the sake of holding to a release date when others have gotten the product, just isn't smart.

MS Website says medium and small are now pushed to Dec 4th. I just did a full refund instead of exchange (they sent wrong size), figured I wouldn't get the correct medium replacement anyway. May reorder if they are indeed back in on the 4th.

Amazon.com apparently received a batch of Mediums. The Mediums were available for shipping yesterday. Now they are "in stock but may require an extra 1-2 days to process."

Well that's weird. I just had the complete opposite happen. After cancelling my preorder because it shipped early by a trigger happy employee and later intercepted and sent back to the warehouse. Microsoft called to re order my band so that I didn't lose my place in the preorder queue. They gave me a 20$ discount on the new order and ARE shipping out those orders that's mistakenly shipped early. I am actually semi satisfied.

Soo quick update... Order has been placed since my last post. Have yet to receive any shipping notification and it's now 3 days to the Canadian launch.... Oddly enough my original pre-order tracking number states it is now sitting in Winnipeg with no date for delivery...my patience is wearing thin Microsoft.

Ok so when Microsoft called me last week they said that the shipment was sent back to China. I told them that no, it was in Winnipeg, but he said that it was not it was actually in China. Anyhow I did the order again and he said they would have it delivered by the 20th.

I used my coupon and also haggled a Complete package out of them, and now it looks like the package is not in "shipping exception" in Winnipeg anymore. Its just "in transit". The lady at FedEx called me and said that their instructions were to deliver only on the 20th, so they expect that it will start moving again tomorrow or day after and be delivered on Friday or Monday.

So MS bs'd me about it going back to China and were just waiting to see if I would order before instructing FedEx to go on with the shipment. And it does look like the credit has hit my card. So yay I guess.

Ordered online today (USA shipment) - the product page said "Ships by December 4" but the order page doesn't say anything. Credit card was already charged which was a bit surprising if it was backordered; by contrast my Lumia 950 XL (pre-ordered yesterday) is supposed to ship by Nov 25 but CC hasn't been charged.

Canadian here, looks like I'm in the same boat. In my emails, they mentioned that since I preordered, I'd be placed in the priority queue, or something along those lines. Seems unlikely that I'll actually get it, with the launch being so soon. All because Microsoft didn't want us to get the product earlier...

EDIT: Looks like I got it on the correct delivery date. No issues other than the initial tracking number being early in that case.

Hi! I live in Germany and I ordered my Band to on the 28th of October from Amazon.co.uk. It was just dispatched to me. It seems not from the UK, but from an Amazon warehouse here in Germany. Amazon give me an estimated delivery date of 25 November. But I hope this is false, since I live in Cologne - 4th largest city in the country and there are a few Amazon warehouse locations near me. I hope I get it sooner. Will write again to share with you! I hope this helps someone who also wishes to or has order(ed) from Germany, or other EU country!

I also received a notification that my band 2 is shipped. It is send to me by DHL. Can't see when it will be deliverd. I orded directly in the MS store in the uk and i am living in the Netherlands.
