Microsoft Band 2 Shipping

Yup got the same email from MS. So stupid that they would do this. At this point it would have reached people maybe a few days before launch.

I pre-ordered from Best Buy, so sick of this nonsense.
 
It appears in speaking with both MS and FedEx the factory got ahead of themselves and started shipping before they were supposed to. MS has a scheduled launch date and they're sticking to it. Instead of letting the first batch go after they got to Memphis and Winnipeg respectively, they've returned them to the factory in China where they'll be released when MS gives them the go-ahead. Sort of like the bank making an error. It's not you're money so back it goes.

So, what about me who is in the USA? Band 2 is out here, so mine is being held hostage with a bunch of Canadian pre-orders??
 
I'm going to be extremely upset if I don't mine until the 20th. I live in USA and release date for us was the 30. Now I can't have it because Microsoft shipped it with another country's order who had a different release date? I should just dispute the charge with my bank...
 
I think Mike an runamuck have a legit beef with MS if you're in the US. They should offer you a credit and let you buy it either in a store or from another retailer.

Canadian orders are stuck till just before the 20th. Definitely MS' screwup. I tried calling customer service complaining about them charging my card but not giving me a product but she gave me the virtual "we apologise" spiel.
 
I understand mistakes happen. I just want my product. I dont expect a credit and that's okay. I'm just annoyed..

Just had the same argument with MS. I'm told they shipped my band but then returned it to their warehouse in China when they realised it shouldnt ship yet. They charged my card but refuse to ship it to me now. The rep had no explanation as to why Winnipeg clearance is showing up on my FedEx tracker. I asked to cancel it entirely(out of spite mostly) but she refused and said that is not an option and that I can return it once it arrives..which completely defeats of the purpose of me cancelling it and just buying one locally.

The only reason I called them was because their system automatically generated a return request in my name. Which I obviously did not initiate. Because it was shipped back to their warehouse they have to cancel my order(which i requested anyway). Then, credit me the cost of the band and then reprocess the order. What an absolute mess!!!!

Here's an oddity: Perhaps because Canada and Amazon are mentioned so much in this thread, I am seeing an ad here for amazon.ca, and things for CDN$.
 
Mine is showing in my local cities processing facility now. Should be able to pickup today or tomorrow. Unexpected and easily avoidable delays for preorder customers, I'd expect a proactive notification and apology to early adopters for fumbling and planting negative impressions.
 
In hand 10:25 on wrist 11:00 during set up I noticed it had my Surge listed in the Heath app as a band has any one sync'ed one up to MS health. Any way to a couple of trys and resetting the phone to complete the setup/update process. I'll post some more in the reviews section after I've had it a while. I will say the reason I didn't get the 1 was the appearance the 2 is so much better.
 
Canadian here. Mine still shows Shenzhen and updates every day to show the scheduled delivery date as the current date. I mean, I knew the delivery date was supposed to be Nov 20th, but they sent me a tracking number and gave me a bit of hope :cry:

EDIT: I signed up for email notifications earlier this week, so it looks like FedEx is going to email me every day saying the scheduled delivery date is the next day.

Huzzah! My Band2 arrived today, after languishing in China for a week. I open up the box, and see that although I had ordered a L, I received a M. I'm on the line with the Microsoft Store now to see about an exchange. Their call center is very noisy, by the way, and they should do something to cut back on the ambient noise.
 
Ive now been given a full refund... without even asking. Dont know if they are going to reprocess the order or if they just cancelled it all together. Not impressed.

(NOOO) I think you must've got mine. Haha I ordered a medium and got a large. although it fits 2nd to the last tightest setting, it kinda wiggles.

If you are in Canada, it's cancelled. You will have to reorder it yourself (they will call you and apologize also and you can do the re-order over the phone). You should also be getting an email with a $20 promo code as an apology.

I reordered from Best Buy, they have a promo code on the site for 10% off. I will use the $20 promo for the Microsoft Complete Care for the Band.
