Now that Microsoft is stopping support for health and fitness app
Which app should i use to calculate my steps and make use of my sensor core present in the phone?

You might want to try Microsoft Health. I installed it and it count steps, etc on my Sensor Core phone - L635.

Looks like there is a companion App called HealthVault to help keep functionality.

Microsoft Health is not available in India

In fact Microsoft Health is available only in a few countries... So not possible to use it as a replacement for majority of people...

Who knows, but I'm pretty sure they are preparing something to replace it after they take it off.
