My nokia lumia 535 isn't playing any videos on any app?

[Windows Central Question]

All I can see is 1 second of the start and then the screen turns green. Then I am unable to go back to the homepage or use the bar at the top. I have tried reboots and I have looked for advice on internet. All the videos that I can not see are on the apps:
Camera Roll!
Xbox video
YouTube
facebook
etc.

Okay just so I've got it right, anything you record doesn't play either?

(this is my question)

anything that I record or try and play on any of the apps wont play as well as videos on my camera roll, the screen just turns green. This happens on youtube, facebook etc. I can still here the audio but not the actual video.
