Need some help please---Updates Stuck in endless loop

After the last Firmware Update I am stuck in this endless search for updates with zero results

I let this run for 4 hours and this is the only screen that you see (attached)

I've rebooted, I've restart, I've actually reconfigured and wiped my device and started over. When I started over from a clean install all the updates were there. When I downloaded them and device restarted it happened AGAIN!!!!

I am NOT going to go through this process again. Microsoft rep I spoke to told me to hold power for 30 seconds followed by holding volume up and Power for 15 seconds followed by waiting 10 seconds and turning on.

Nothing changed.

I am getting disgusted by all of this. Every single update the machine gets worse and more buggy vs correcting issues the SP3 has.

I had a very good workable machine. Now, it's turning into a brick. Battery life went from 8 hours to 4.5 just like that.

Please help..any help appreciated.

The database for the updates on your system is corrupted (*it happens).

Try the following:
DISM - Fixing Component Store Corruption in Windows 8

I had the exact same issue tonight. Resolved by going to Windows Update via control panel, checking for updates in there and installing. After this and a restart I could check from the metro screen again
