Network problems

My UK unlocked 830 running Denim has started behaving very strangely. I has worked faultlessly since the update 3 weeks ago but yesterday it would not connect to my network (EE). I have tried other types of Sims ( 3 and Lyca) and they are the same. I have no issues with these Sims in my other phone. I tried a factory reset but that didn't help.
I can manually scan for networks it picks them up fine but wont register on them. The only connection I can get is if I drop down to 3G. Then data works but I still can't make or receive calls or text messages. Any ideas as to what is wrong?
 
Seems you've narrowed it down to probably a handset issue already. Just to rule it out, I'd try heading to another location so you could rule out local tower(s) issue.
​Other than that, sounds cacked.
 
I might try refreshing the firmware when I get back home as I am doing tourist stuff in London now. I need to check if it is still under warranty as I bought it from a cash converter place a couple of months ago.

I thought I would post an update. I reflashed the CV firmware to no avail. I also flashed the carrier firmware (EE UK) and this made no difference so it looks like a hardware problem.

Hopefully I can either get this repaired or replaced. If I find out what went wrong I will post it here in case it happens to someone else.
