New owner of a used Focus, screen brightness setting question

Hi, I recently picked up a Samsung Focus off ebay. I'm a previous Arrive owner, so i'm familiar with WP7. The only issue I currrently have with this phone is, the Auto-Brightness will never save, it always goes manually to whatever is set. Is this normal for the Focus? The software version is 7390.

have a slightly used ere me focus I have never done anything with the brightness setting. I would dudpect that the automatic being set to on is the default setting and to change that would take a registry hack or tweak. I would have thought that would be something that MS might have dictated to the carriers. It would seem that the arrive may not have been set up that way!

See if your brightness setting when turned Automatic on actually saves. Mine just stays on off.

i turned mine off on my FOCUS , set it to Medium

when i set it to Auto, it randomly Dims and comes back , really annoying.

Same as selfcreation. The Focus can't make up it's mind on brightness I just set auto to off and medium as well.

setting it to medium brightness over the auto setting will help save your battery too.

Mine is set to auto it changes depending on the light conditions I havent noticed much effect on battery life
