Take a look at this screen shot from my Titan:

I was traveling over the weekend I was in a low signal area look at where the 4G should be. Now I have seen the E for edge and no signal at all but that's the first time I have seen just a G not 4G. What gives is that normal and what does the G stand for?

Always though G stood for GPRS? Oh well, either way yeah slower than Edge. Like you have 4G, 3G, Edge (2G), and then G. lol

Well there doesn't seem to be a differentiator between 4G and 3G. I've seen E and G, also.

They should call it 1G. Then 2G instead of E, followed by 3G, then 3.5G instead of H+, and finally 4G instead of LTE. For consistency's sake.

I believe you are correct. But, like you said, it doesn't matter at this point. G = (G)od is this thing slow!
