The screen dimming issue has been my biggest complaint with the 1520. The issue occurred when I would open the phone from the lock screen. The screen would be very bright and then dim slightly, generally after a few seconds. I had brightness turned to high and turned off all other settings that would affect the brightness level. I even swapped phones thinking that I had a dud. But the replacement had the same issue and the demo models in the AT&T store showed the same issue. I learned to live with it because I otherwise loved the 1520 (coming from an iPhone 5s). The touch sensitivity issue was annoying (generally resulting in me clicking on something when I intended to scroll past it) but not a huge problem.
The latest update fixed both issues for me. I now have full high brightness all the time without any dimming. I also tested the touch sensitivity issue on a number of web pages that gave me the most "false clicks" in the past and did not have any issues. Fantastic update!
