No Messenger IMs after update

I just updated to to Cyan on my lumia 925 and I no longer receive IMs sent from outlook.com. I noticed that I need to can add Skype as a IM client. Is that what I need to do, I just dont want to wind up getting double messages like i used to. And when i click on the contact, it asks if I want to "unlink". Im not understanding this...

edit: I went in to skype and turned "Messenger messages" back on. Now I get skype notifications from outlook.com, but i would like for them to come in my messaging hub.
