Nokia Communicator

Hello,

Do you remember the Nokia Communicators from the 2000s (years)? The candy bar phone? The one where you can open it on the side and you were treated to a landscape screen and full keyboard?

Well I really wish they would bring it back with the 8.1 is . The weight of the phone would be less than the ones that were using Symbian and I think there could be a market for it. I remember, back in Europe, many businesses where outfitting their employees with them.

I highly doubt there is anything in the works by Nokia but it would be nice !

I remember when I was working at T-Mobile USA over 10 years ago and someone brought in an unlocked 9290. Nice hardware, I thought, almost bought one or it's successors, but did buy an N97 I kept for a bit...

Hello,

Yeah the 9290 was way ahead of its time. The last real Communicator was the E90. It was a GREAT phone.

Wish there was a Lumia Communicator on the horizon...
