Nokia has reached 87% of all wp phones in the UK. http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/windows-phone-7-outsells-symbian-in-uk/017457

And im living in the Nordic (Sweden). Here we were suprised over that it wasn't more then that feels like they have 100% here (no one know what wp was before lumia 800, and still i think more people knew about lumia then about wp because everyone has seen ? ommercial for lumia thephonehouse, Elgiganten and ofcourse all carriers has done commercials for lumia 800/710 and ofcourse Nokia to)..

But this is before the lumia 900 and 800 white reached out here in europe. That means that Nokias wp share Will continue to grow here in europe. But thats okey i think. But is it good with this dominans from Nokia? And have samsung/HTC given up europe? There is only one new HTC about to hit europe and Nothing from samsung. And in facit if i wasn't on this forum i wouldnt have known about the future HTC. That lumia 900 is lumia 800 with 4.3" screen and Will comes in q2 to europe you can read in your daily newspaper.

Europe is Nokia's home territory. They have a massive sales presence and long established retail and network connections there, it would be surprising if they were not dominating.
Lets hope they get good competition from other OEM's, good for consumers and Nokia.

Yes, they should be biggest here. But they have almost got 90% and that's almost to much and they are realise two more models (900 and 610). And Samsung isn't releasing anything here. And Nokia has all commercials...

Good design coupled with a sound OS why not especially now they have finally solved the majority of the battery issues.

I think styling does more selling than the OS which is probably for design driven phone is the way it should be.

There is absolutely nothing stopping HTC and Samsung from doing even a little bit to promote their Windows Phone devices. However they cant be bothered and have decided not to, cant blame Nokia then for stepping in and taking WP sales. They are the sole reason WP share is growing, however slowly. Without them, what would the numbers for WP be now?

I dont know why it seems there is an element of sympathy for HTC and other OEM's, its their choice to favour android so heavily and ignore WP, if no one buys their WP devices that cant be blamed on Nokia. Nokia is doing what THEY should have been doing, cant blame anyone but themselves.

And as long as Nokia is aggressively pushing the platform and increasing marketshare, I wont be questioning their strategy at all.

The Lumia 900 is gorgeous and just fantastic to look at, particularly when combined with Metro's bold design language. Love it.

I'm perfectly happy with my HTC. It's a solid and good device. But it's clear no thought whatsoever went into style or "wow factor" or anything like that. Screen quality is unremarkable, physical design is dated, etc. I'm really excited about the Lumia 900, though I wouldn't be willing to switch from US Cellular to get it.

Maybe lower-end Lumias will end up with more carriers than just T-Mobile and AT&T, neither of which have good coverage where I live?
