NOKIA ICON W10 GPS in maps just dying in mid drive and even a soft reset doesn't fix it

Cellular and wifi are both on too. Also the battery drains while it plugged into a 1 amp charger. I am running build 10586.164

I've had this issue in the past with my icon. If the phone does not recognize the charger, it will use only 0.5amp. If you have the setting enabled, the phone will warn you of the slow charging.

I had to get a charge-only cable. The charge-only cable is a must since it fools the phone into thinking that it is connected to an a/c charger which enables fast charging. Alternatively, you can get one of the new chargers with smart electronics that can do the fast charge switching - no need for charge-only cables.

Does that affect the GPS too?
