hello, i bought Nokia 630 dual Sim, it is really good but i am not using well because it instruct me by audio so how can i turn it to normal?

using Nokia Lumia 630 [ single sim ] since last 10 Days.
and from yesterday i am experiencing a problem with the Wi-Fi Connection.
When i go home from office My phone did not automatically pick the W-Fi connection
at my home. I tried several times to switch off and then on the W-Fi of my Lumia
Device but it did not connection.

Then i restart my phone and it get connected. Now When i came ot office this morning.
The same thing happened It did not connect to the office Wi-Fi connection.
I tried to restart assuming it will catch up but it failed.
then i open the back cover remove the battery and then again insert
it back then restart my phone in a hope that it will work but no. its not working.
tried Hard Reset also

Can anyone help me in this matter and why is it happening

OS has a feature by which it will automatically connect to the fastest network available.
If there is some downloads going on or heavy traffic then it wont connect automatically even if you leave it on.
The best option is to turn off and turn on using the wifi switch. (no need to reset/restart)

Considering that there is no traffic/downloads going on in your router just switch off the wifi when you are travelling and turn it on only when you need it (near a router).

Even if the wifi icon is not showing it maybe still connected to the wifi

Hi I have a bug here ((
The phone ran perfectly for 3 days, but now after my second battery charge, when the phone is locked and I push the unlock button the lock screen says "continuing..." for 4.5 seconds and only then I can unlock the screen.It is horribly irritating...
Everything is updated on my phone, I tried softreset, I even tried getting out and putting back the battery but it's still slow to unlock the phone.
The other sympthon is, after that second charge the battery runs out of power more fast, 1 hour/10% even though I turned off the high energy consuming apps,wifi,etc.
Any idea?

Did you by any chance install the live lockscreen beta app ?
If so that can cause the lockscreen delay.
Solution : try switching to another lockscreen (bing) after you uninstall the app (live lockscreen)

as for the battery. did you charge it fully in the first charge ?

turning off background data might be a good idea.. apps like skype will suck up battery if allowed to run in background.

but when slide left and use the side screen where all list of icons are available facebook and messenger does not ask for the password and opens automatically.

every applocking app has this problem ....

you have two options...
either setup a phone lock code
or configure apps corner (only apps you want will be displayed in the homescreen like a fake homescreen but the apps work)

Greetings.

I'm using Lumia 630 dual sim and I want to report the following bugs:

1. When using Croatian language keyboard and regional settings, I cannot write diacritic letter Č . First of all, it's not even displayed correctly as a button on keyboard. Workaround is to press and hold the letter C and then get the letter Č. But this is amateur bug - having the faulty key on keyboard.

2. When writing SMS and selecting contacts, some contacts are not displaying which is a serious bug. I guess it's because some of them contain diacritics. If I enter the number manually and send an SMS, Lumia recognizes the contact and displays the name correctly.

This bug is very annoying.

I had convinced one of my friend to buy windows phone and he choosed the Lumia 630. After a break of three weeks I met him. He had a lot of questions/missings on his lumia 630, I lists here,

1. When you dial a contact without country code in prefix, 630 is not identifying the contact which has same number saved in the phone with country code. (eg: number saved in phone with country code +91 9790x12345, I dialed only number 9790x12345) when you dial with country code it identifies the saved contact.
I tried in my lumia 620 and my friends lumia 720, no issue at all. I think it belongs to only dual sim 630 bug. Has any one have similar issues in your lumia 630?

2. He was using whatsapp toomuch in his android phone. He likes to select multiple messages and forward. It is missing feature in whatsapp in WP.
I have no anwer. I hope Whats app's update for WP8.1 have this feature. Any whatsapp beta users pls check this feature is there in beta app?

3. Call history not showing the duration and time of each call like android. I hope it will be there in wp9.

4. Custom name tag for contacts, currently we have like mobile, home etc.,

5. When you dial numbers, matching contacts should be displayed lively, We dont have natively this in WP8.1, I recommend rapdialer. he is not happy that excess steps and ussds are not working.

Still he is happy to carry WP and completely disappointed. I asked what you have liked here in WP8.1. He dont have a list but likes offline navigations and fluidity of OS.

2. That is not a bug. All contacts must have phone number be saved as mobile phone number or it will no be shown in sms app. I believe number saved in work category works as well.

1. Contacts must have dialing codes saved with the number if you want the phone to recognize (your situation).

2. That is for whatsapp developers to decide

4. You can add custom name tags like 'mobile' 'home'etc as you have done in android through phone as well as the web (google/outlook)

5. That works perfectly fine after you press the call button (not like in android which shows up immediately)

1. I guess you have to enable ' international call assist'. You can find it in phone> more> settings> enable.

3. It wont show like android because it is wp. But to see the call duration go to call history, tap n hold any name then choose 'details' you can see the call duration.

Every OS has its own way of doing things. People should be ready to accept those changes when they shift.

After almost 2 months of ownership, my lumia 630 has these problems :

- 5 or 6 dead pixels (green color) on the left side of the screen,
- light lines on the top of the screen (clearly visible on white backgrounds),
- the first month the screen was suffering from screen ghosting (now is pretty much ok),
- light bleed on the navigation bar,
- the back cover after only 2 times that I took it off, is making creaking sounds on the lower right side,
- daily shutdowns of IE11 and other applications and games.
- I had to reset the phone 2 times while browsing the web, the screen turned entirely black (crashed).

All these problems are shown without heavy use or any mistreatment of the phone and little to non other
applications running in the background.
I may also say that I never run into any drop calls or general problems with the regular phone functions.
I live in Greece so it may have some relation with the network.

3. It is possible I had overlooked this one. Press and hold then select details will get the required call time and duraion infos. I will convence my friend on this one.
4. I can add mobile, home etc., but I want add my own custom tags like bro, wife, london, newyork etc.,
5. I meant if I press 95, I want to see those contacts having 95 should come to display like live search. as you said android shows it up immediately.

1. I had tried that earlier before writing here. Still I wonder why it is only on lumia 630. Maybe dual sim related issue.
3. I had overlooked that. I can convince him. What I meant was the info of call durations and time should be there not same like android. I hope it should be improved to much easier way than current way of press and hold then select details in future.

1 did you save your contacts in google or outlook, consider syncing the account regularly

1. Yes I had saved the contacts in outlook and gmail as well. If I save with country code, while the same contact make a call I see the numbers not the contact name. I saw only one solution here is save the contact twice with and without country code. But storing of all the contacts will be very big job.

2. I need to add custom tags in windows phone. Even custom tagged numbers in gmail are not synching to WP while importing contacts.
