Nokia Lumia Icon Bluetooth not connecting to Honda handsfreelink

We just purchased a 2011 Honda Odyssey with Bluetooth HandsFreeLink. My Nokia Lumia Icon connects and disconnects constantly. My wife's Apple iPhone 5c is supported by HandsFreeLink has no trouble staying connected. My old Nokia Lumia 928 has no trouble either and is supported by HandsFreeLink. What is the difference between the Icon and 928? Please help!

I have a 2014 Odyssey and the HandsFreeLink works better with my Icon (running 8.1 DP) than it does with my wife's iPhone 5S. Just make sure that "Use an alternate Bluetooth audio connection for Speech" is checked under the advanced Bluetooth settings.

I had a problem with a Lumia 928. It would connect with HandsFreeLink but the contacts would not download. To finally get it to work I did the following:

1. Removed Handsfreelink from the phone bluetooth connections
2. Powered off the phone
3. Cleared the Phone System in HandsFreeLink
4. Powered the phone on and reconnected
5. The phone linked and contacts downloaded.
