Nokia Lumia Icon's Power Button Not Always Working

Ever since upgrading to the 8.1 Preview, the power button doesn't always turn on the display. Sometimes I have to press it 2-5 times to get it to respond. Anyone else experience this?

This has been a known bug, keep in mind there's still bugs in the dev preview. Just hang in there, I'm sure they'll be fixes when the official update gets released.

Don't press it that many times. I have an Icon also and I found that its just a delay. It knows you hit unlock, it just takes a sec to actually do it. Annoying bug but at least its known.

I've noticed WP8.1 very temperamental about security settings on Wifi networks. I was having the laggy lock button issue, but only at home, not on my work's WiFi network and not when WiFi was off. I was just spit balling trying to troubleshoot the issue when I discovered changing my security from WPA2 to WPA seems to have, for now, solved the issue. Also, turning off Wifi Sense has been reported to help in some scenarios.

Hopefully this bug gets squashed, or if anything, it could be firmware related and could fix itself on the official release.

Def a bug in the OS. They'll get them worked out.

Same thing here on my Icon. Assume it'll get resolved in the official update.

Ditto....Annoying as all get out. Sometimes takes 3 or 4 seconds to actually respond....

occasionally its come to the point to where activating the camera has been a better option to get the screen to turn on. but generally its just takes a second or two to turn on when i press the power button.

Its happened 3 times to me when typing a text...

Just switched from WPA2 to WPA. So far this has resolved this issue. Thanks!
