Official 8.1/Denim for the Icon?

Western IL/Eastern IA here updating now.

That's what i'm trying to find out from others that are getting updates. Did they have DP? Was it turned on? What state are they in, etc.

I RE-CHECKED DP, and now it's updating. Took about 5 minutes to check for updates.........it's downloading now! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

finished the first minor update. searched for a second update and that is downloading now. hopefully this one is the official 8.1 OTA

I just got the notification popup that an update is available. Unfortunately I have to wait until tonight, but at least I know its finally here!

Hilarious they beat Att, considering all the negativity around Verizon here...

They didn't beat AT&T to 8.1 or Cyan. Only from Cyan to Denim, which really is much more minor. And the only reason Verizon "beat AT&T" to that is that they never bothered with any other update.

I factory reset my phone with t-mobile SIM in it, when I set manual apn mms did not work, when I turned it off it did.

Did you refresh from a backup or start fresh? Think the backup issue might be a part of the problem

Not to rain on anyone's parade but a word of caution. I was on DP 8.1 and I used the recovery tool. It failed with error 0x80131500 and I'm stuck in a boot loop where I wind up with a red screen with arrows. Be careful....
