Comparison Photos. The 950 is much more true to life...Idol 4S, white and washed out.

All auto ... no flash.
The idol looks better imo

Except for the light on the upper right corner blown out, I'd have to agree.I have the same opinion.
There is better contrast in the 950XL pic, too. But I still believe these issues are firmware/software issues. That doesn't mean that they'll ever be improved, though. The idol looks better imo

Don't feel bad. There aren't many phone cameras that don't have the sensors blown by bright lights. Ever tried taking a picture of the moon?Took this at work today. I did increase the contrast a little via FastStone Image Viewer I have installed on my computer. Bright lights do get blown out some. But still quite acceptable in my opinion.

Ever tried taking a picture of the moon?

Probably because they didn't increase the shutter speed. When you're exposing for the moon you just crank that shutter speed up without over increasing the ISO and you'll get a decent shot of the moon but that's all you'll get. Clouds and other details will be lost. Try it....not with a phone camera but I've seen some that others have taken and they never looked good. Co-worker took some pics of a lunar eclipse with his 830. Turned out horrible lol.
I thought you got off of the fast train? This is what to expect with 15007. Just a quick pic with auto HDR.

I did, but this was a gamble I couldn't resist.I thought you got off of the fast train?
Let us know how it goes. That pic is tempting me. Funny that I fear an insider build on this phone, but have no qualms about using it without a case.I did, but this was a gamble I couldn't resist.
