Official Lumia 520 Amber Update Thread

Nokia said everyone will get amber by the end of September.....dont think its possible...nokia is so slow...2 months for updating all the phones

I enquired from Nokia care guys for amber update of lumia 520 here in delhi .. they said we also can't update because it's not yet available.

yesss... BC, i'm also tired of this ****ty slow update process.. and even more frustrated because i'hv download 90% of amber update when it was available on NSU, but they pulled it back.. and just because of 10****ing% i'm waiting.. :|

The folder that you will download is RM-914. You have to put it in " (Windows Drive)\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products " and NSU should work.

i updated my rm-914 lumia 520 with the indonesia amber rom....it works just fine but flashing through ncs was very tricky...

To be honest, the update was not very useful to me. Im only using lumia color profile feature in it. I feel the battery life has increased a bit.

hmm i know there's not much in this update but still im crazy to update it..
i'm sure you were also curious for this update before u updated ur phone

now my client is downloading but speed is 50kb/s it will take around 8 hours to complete
if you are ok with seeding then i'm happy to download this way

I downloaded the file from the torrent link. it was pretty fast. didnt take more than a couple of hours. I have saved the file under \ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products and i can see the file under " downloads" in NSU however i don't have a clue how to install it from here. When i open NSU it searches for firmware and shows me the old one only.
