I don't see why L720 still needs "approval". All devices in India are UNLOCKED. Why would they need to be tested?

It's not only in India. Other countries, like mine, also show "Waiting for approval" for unlocked Lumias.

No one has an exact date of release. Just keep checking your phone between now and the end of next month.

Yet they released Amber for the 820 and 920 in India before some other countries where they do want to be... Weird Nokia.

If Lumia 720 was launched in USA, it would have gotten GDR2 update by now. As USA is currently the topmost priority for Nokia which kind of sucks for rest of the worldwide users and is discrimination on the part of Nokia. Lumia 520 and 720 were announced at the same time and yet Lumia 520 has received GDR2+Amber almost a month back in USA.

LOL. You are definitely wrong. The above phone is released WITH GDR2 on board. Lumia 520 owners in USA did not get the update.

The update is available to Lumia 720 via Nokia Software Update for Retail in Brazil. Firmware version is 1030.6409.1311.0001.

GDR2/Amber version number starts with 30**. The Nokia pages only say the latest version number currently available, and the status of Amber update.

The firmware you're downloading is already flashed on your phone. Check the status page, it still says "Waiting for Approval".

guys is the true that after amber update L720 will get file manager so what about other models i have L520 will it be available for L520
Nokia care rep says “File manager” will be available for Lumia devices post Amber update!!
