So I downloaded the new Outlook 2013 preview last night.
The new Outlook 2013 has Exchange Active Sync (EAS) which is the same as Windows Phone. In theory Hotmail emails should be pushed to Outlook 2013 as they arrive so you get instant email notifications (rather than syncing every 3 mins or whatever you set it at).
I haven't had an opportunity to test this fully but so far I'm not getting instant email notifications. Maybe I haven't set it up properly.
Has anyone tried this...?
