People Hub: How to delete picture assigned to contact

I assigned a number of placeholder images to contacts that did not have social network linkages. I'd like to delete them now. There seems to be no way. I mean I can easily change it to something else, but can't I just delete it and leave it blank?

nope, can't delete them, just add in a blank image

use your camera, take a black blank picture and use that, presto, it's blank

but if u have the wide tile for ur people hub, the blank image will show up.

I synced my contacts from google. If I want to delete the pictures I added on the phone, I just go to google contacts and remove the picture.
