I have deleted 2 accounts this morning. I am thinking its Omni but I can't prove it whoever it is he is masking himself well. He is using a different email address every time and he is clearing cookies. He is registering at all the MN sites he seams to only be posting here so far.

The reason I think this could be Omni is because of the clever choice of user names and avatars. Most of these trolls don't bother with and avatar. I believe it is Omni and he wants us to know it is him. I caught his first user name this morning with 5 posts all trolling posts posted in what seamed like an odd way. I one touched that user he followed with the user name above.

Close down registrations for 3 days. That'll stop him. He tries to register and he can't. BOOM! OWNED!
EDIT: Don't do that. Dave, as he's attacking you directly, you may be able to seek legal action against him for harassment. Do that, that'll stop him if he gets fined/sent to prison for it.

Maybe set the moderation filter back to 10 posts. It might be a pain, but at least his posts won't see the light of day under the aliases. We might also keep an eye out at AC and CB tomorrow when his ban is over tomorrow for veiled attacks at WPC.
He seems to think he's the cleverest man in the room. Those types usually outclever themselves eventually.

Right now I think I have him spooked. I got lucky on his first user name this morning it was just to odd so I banned that name right away now he doesn't know how I knew it was him. Truth is I didn't know it was him I just got lucky. All we can do is keep the damage to a minimum if he does it again.

And as for omniusovermind... are my eyes deceiving me? Is he actually getting involved with the community maturely and being a valued poster. I've liked or thanked one of his posts after it made me chuckle. I don't know what you did Dave, but I think it may have worked. For now.

Not falling for omnius' act for one second. He still posts his interpretations and speculation. When I mentioned until we know the facts, it's all speculation. He responds with facts having nothing to do with his post. Thought about pointing out his perspective and speculations but decided I wasn't going to do his dance and give him the attention he wants. I'm content with waiting him out. His true colors will show again, it's just a matter of time.

I am unbanning this guy http://forums.windowscentral.com/members/chetan-takyar.htm before I do I have issued 4 infractions he will sit out a 3 day ban. All future infractions will go out in 2's what ever the infractions is plus a arbitrary infraction. Once he returns if he steps out of line please notify me immediately.
I have no issues with releasing this guys ban maybe he deserves a second chance. Now that a big maybe. What I don't like is how the whole situation was handled. I will stop there.
