http://forums.windowscentral.com/members/wp8addict.htm - WP8addict. Claims he knows a lot about Nokia and MSFT. He has posted AT&T screenshots (very likely they are photoshop) and he is located in India. I was going to call him out in the thread itself for impersonating someone that doesn't exist. Members seem to take his words for what he is saying about GDR2 and GDR3. I was going to PM him but thought I'll see what the team suggests. Also, he is worth keeping an eye on - may spread "good" FUD.

It looks like he could be problematic, since he's making claims about release of GDR2/GDR3. I agree that members might think he does work for AT&T in an official role, and that would be impersonation.

Dropped him a kind warning in PM and has sort of indicated that other mods may not be happy if they see his claims without base are going to cause chaos at WPC

I just told him he is in the grey area here and I am not calling him out as an impersonator but someone else might

I'm not sure where he's going to end up. After I gave him the infraction, he went quiet and passive a couple of posts. The he went off again on his cdma rant, I mentioned he was posting the same thing over and over, and to contribute something new. His Sprint bias was obvious. Duvi even chimed in and corrected him. He never responded and has been laying low. I guess today he couldn't resist going at Daniel again. Will keep an eye out in the forums tomorrow.

I am writing after following your posts for a few days. You seem to be making claims on behalf of Nokia suggesting you work there. Your screenshots come from an AT&T phone in a non-standard WP format which suggests they may not be genuine. You are located in Bangalore, India where AT&T does not have any network. Putting these pieces together I am forced to think you are impersonating a Nokia employee that you may not be.

If me or any other moderators find this to be causing issues with WPCentral forums, we may have to ban the account as impersonation is against forum rules and we would not want our users to be misled into any false information on behalf of any companies.

If this is an error in observation please feel free to write back to me as I am only sending a warning off to you before the posts catch eyes of other moderators and you feel that you've not been warned of how your posts look like.

I'm sorry to have read all this wrong impressions you have about me. Yes, i am from Bangalore (India). I work at Nokia's "Nokia Research Center" (NRC, Bangalore). And you certainly got wrong impressions of those screens you saw from at&t L920 device. And yes there is no at&t network in India, lol. Those screens are from my personal at&t L920 mobile which i was gifted when we visited Nokia branch in CA few months back. It's an unlocked device ( i use it with a local network here). And the firmware version is of a first patch of GDR2(Amber) update. I don't want to go in to all the technical details but our basic custom ".ffu's" we use for testing is different (which L820, L822 & L920 uses the same). The firmware version u get in the update may vary but only just a little. Look if you think this all some impersonation or whatever, i could care less. When i was at home reading those article of all the users getting frustrated, i just wanted to tell them what to expect and what not to and to be patient, all their issues are noted and will be resolved by MS soon. At that time i had my unlocked at&t L920 with Amber installed. so i attached a few screens. I'm thinking off taking the screens off, i'm not suppose to disclose them anyway. GOOD DAY

That reminds me of when I posted on Android Central. It was in a Sprint SGSIII thread. Guy had lousy coverage and was new to Sprint. I suggested he consider getting an SGSIII on Verizon. I got called a Verizon troll (for posting from a Lumia 900 and telling someone Sprint might be the problem). Someone even said, "Can you hear me now?" LOL

I said I don't use Verizon and never have (and don't work for them), and I wasn't saying get a Windows Phone (or get AT&T), so I'm not a troll.

Other posters defended what I said. The OP ended up leaving Sprint. When I later checked his profile he didn't have Sprint listed as his carrier.

Noticed he's been spamming his site link. Had to send a custom infraction for Self Promotion / Advertising for zero points. Apparently there's no warning for that. Will infraction if he keeps it up.

It looks like he is getting progressively negative. In the beginning he post pattern was fine. It looks like he had to return his L920 a few times for repairs that has passed him off. Have you tried sending him a PM. Send him a message and ask him why he has been so negative lately find out if there is anything we can do to help.

I believe he has but he mostly posts on the blog where we can't get him.

I was thinking he would react badly to an infraction I am a little glad he kept trolling that thread it made it easy for me to get to ban level. When he returns if he posts badly he needs to get banned right away. All three infractions came from me hopefully he will address his hostility to me but if you all see something before I do don't hesitate to ban him. Three infractions in one thread in one hour I don't think he wants to be reformed. I could be wrong though lets see what happens when he returns.
