Person of interest thread

Re: Person of intrest thread

It's certainly not going to break my heart whenever he gets banned.

Re: Person of intrest thread

mrmdj31675 taking shots at the site again after he's been told not to and to take it private. This was after another post in the same thread asking Daniel again for a review. Except now he prefaces it with this is not an attack, trying to toe the line he's been warned about.

Those may help, but for "the mecca of everything Windows Phone" not have a review of the Ativ S Neo is still a major concern, and as the days go by, I am starting to believe there is a major bias against Samsung and Sprint on this stie for other reasons than the obsolete "Sprint does not care about Windows Phone" which in perfect analogy should have been applied to every CDMA carrier in the US market and where Qualcomm standards are used.

And don't get me started on the Nokia situation with CDMA carriers outside of Verizon, for which part of the reasoning should be applied.

Re: Person of intrest thread

I am sick of that guy. You can proceed with a 3 day ban use the points system to execute the ban. Make sure it takes on the pp

Re: Person of intrest thread

Just took care of it and even pp banned him so he shouldn't even be able to spam the blog.

Re: Person of intrest thread

Thanks eric, I had to run a couple of errands and just got back.

Re: Person of intrest thread

There's a user called faland that's slowly going around the forums posting DIY guides and posts specifically advertising a replacement parts website. In 12 posts a good 75% of them had links specifically going to this one website shamelessly. In the interest of keeping everyone aware, I sent him the following PM and edited the links from the posts.

Faland,

I've been looking through your recent posts and comments. In a majority of posts you've been advertising an external site [etradesupply.com]. We realise you have the best intentions of the community at heart, but remind you of the following Mobile Nations forums rules:

[warn]Self Promotion or Advertising - Mobile Nations maintains a no advertising policy in the forums. Any member found to be advertising, promoting or leaching traffic (including via paid link forwarders) for profit or personal gain will receive a warning PM, and have offending post(s) reviewed by the local moderation team. The local moderation team and Community Manager will work with the member to either a) resolve the issue, or b) issue an appropriate ban. Private Messages or Emails to members soliciting your service will also not be tolerated and accounts found to be doing so will be subject to a ban.[/warn]

For a complete rundown of the forum rules see here: http://forums.mobilenations.com/rules-policies/500-community-rules-guidelines.html

Looks like you handled it well, keep us updated.

How the hell was he able to post that? I pp banned him.

Re: Person of intrest thread

I don't know. Maybe the MN Forums isn't part of a PP ban.

Re: Person of intrest thread

I don't understand why the PP didn't keep him from posting on the MN forum it should have. At this point I can't even get a curtsey clean up from the network mods. There is some ridiculous BS going on here we are being singled out that is for sure.

Re: Person of intrest thread

Aman Gupta1 is spamming the forums with threads for his apps. I've deleted numerous threads and sent him a warning, followed by an infraction. He has not responded to my PMs and keeps posting more new threads with the same stuff.

I sent him on a 3 day vacation, since he won't listen and stop the multiple threads.

We've talked to Emi before after her last little melt down. She's usually pretty rude and overly aggressive. She's a bit of a drama queen so I've been trying to give her some slack but she pretty much destroys whatever thread she shows up in. I gave her an infraction and let her know that we've already talked to her before and her rude behavior won't be tolerated anymore.
She does a great job debunking all the misinformation that's sometimes spread in the forums and the front page, just wish she would stop being so rude.

Hopefully it gets resolved before this community falls like mobility site did and like PPCGeeks is currently doing.

I never heard of either of those sites. The site I used to be active on that is almost dead now is Pinstack.

Re: Person of intrest thread

Let's just say he didn't appear to be changing after his ban.

Re: Person of intrest thread

Arafat Sa. He has 7 posts, basically all of them thread crapping. The first thread below I infracted him for inappropriate language and soft deleted. The second he bumps a 5 month old thread for more crapping. But if you look close, it looks like he could be making discriminatory statement about programmers from a certain place, though he just leaves underscores instead of a name. Thoughts? Does anyone else feel this is wrong, or is it just me?

Re: Person of intrest thread

He sounds like a disgruntled customer that wants to vent.

Re: Person of intrest thread

For me it's a little borderline at the moment. I think you'd have to wait for him to make more mistakes to act.
