Phone Thickness

I found these pictures on CNet. For those who were curious about the reason for the thickness (personally I don't think it's thick) of the 920...the camera sensor is one reason.

Here is a picture of the camera sensor next to the phone.

Here is the 808's camera next to the 920...huge size difference.

Also to get more sense of the scale. 808 PureView optical sensor and module are on the bottom right, 8MP found from competitor on the middle and typical 5MP on the left.

I would be interested to see how N8 sensor size compares to Lumia 920.

I do think it is thick, but not a bad thick. I'd prefer it smaller, but for what's included, I'll accept the size.

i also think the weight and size is good. i held an iphone 5 the other day. it seems way too light for my liking. and jesus that sensor is huge!

I think lumia 920 is bit thinner than Lumia 900 as it 10.7 MM compared to 11.5 MM with Lumia 900. My lumia 900 despite being 11.5mm looks so slim and comfortable. Its weight is a plus point as it gives the look and feel of premiumed quality material and toughness compared to CHEAP plastic of Galaxy S2

This thickness "issue" makes me giggle. My HTC Trophy is 11.96mm thick!! The 920 will feel like a piece of paper by comparison!

Good question. The N8 sensor doesn't really stick out that far. If you put a gel cover on the N8, you can't even notice it sticking out.
