The HTC Pure was an awesome form factor. Sexy, solid, functional device with good old WM6.5. Sure you can't really have three friends huddle around the phone to watch a YouTube video, but that aside, writing with the stylus was perfectly fine. Typing (even swype), was fine. Gaming was fine! Faux multi touch was supported by most emulators for resistive screens (in fact there were multi touch keyboards). The pure even has a little zoom bar to replace pinch zoom, which imo is better than pinch zoom. Zoom with the thumb of one hand, without changing the grip on your phone. Simple and convenient, and adds length to the phone to make the size juuuust right.
Oh and you could operate it with gloves! Funny how often new technology has to "reinvent" the features of older technology. I wonder when capacitive buttons will evolve to be as good as hardware buttons are... Which the pure has!

Nowadays you can't get a phone in that size, not even low tier ones go that small these days. I miss this phone, oh the things I would do that android still can't do well, or at all. ActiveSync Bluetooth is an irreplaceable lost technology
The standard open file explorer shell window apps would tap into of wm6.5 still trumps whatever the heck android uses (as well as WP sadly). I mean I could take any simple video player, tell it to open a file and be presented with the standard OS open file dialog. Then I could paste a URL or samba network share into the address bar, I could browse the samba server! the OS would deliver the file to the video player app.
What happened?! WP removed that core function and it's now the responsibility of every developer to implement http/ftp/samba support in their apps. There'll never be an ActiveSync. I love WP but the power user in me want the underlying power I KNOW exists under this metro shell...
