This is actually my first real video with the Lumia 1020. I made two videos about the 1020 using an 808 Pureview and the Lumia 521, but never really played with Video yet until now.

1st thought is that I am very pleased with the imagery and especially the sound

2nd is why can't Nokia make a sound recording application that takes advantage of the rich recording as the video does? I went through almost every paid and free audio recorder in the store, and while Ultimate Recorder did better than anything else with regard to sound quality, it still doesn't come anywhere near what the video cam produces.

Anyway. here it is:

Amazing.. was it a recorded video all along or simply shots in certain internal?

I took 575 photos at a 15 second interval and then put them in sequence using a video editor to kind of make it like a stop-motion video.

This is decent! After watching, I perused the store and tried a number of time lapse programs but not sure if I like any of them. May I ask what program or combination you used to get this?

I used ProShot's time-lapse setting to capture the photos (I kept restarting the timer every 10 minutes because it crashed on me the first time I attempted to do this and just let it go for awhile) and then I put them in sequence and at very short viewing times using Sony Vegas Movie Studio.

Here's a link to the ProShot app:

Found this one on the web - it is probably the best demo I've seen so far of the 1020 still & video and the comparison against the S4 Zoom is very well done.

I didn't find any surprises except this is the first time I've seen the S4Zoom camera interface software demo'd. I have to say - I think it is WAY better than ProCamera - I think in most other respects, 1020 outpaces the S4 Zoom, but I have to hand Samsung the winner for that interface..

Makes a huge difference if you get the frame rate up to 24fps, will make the video shorter but will look great. 20 seconds is a or less is good..
