I really need to get my hands on the HP Elite x3. Seems to be the perfect upgrade coming from Lumia 650. Takes impressive pictures.

Apparently the camera speed is subpar compared to other high-end devices from competing companies. But since this isn't really a consumer focused device HP probably didn't mind.

Please bare in mind also as of today the x3 still only takes main camera pics at 10MP, not 16MP. Hopefully HP will get this fixed so we can use the main camera at the full 16MP.

Taken with my replacement unit. No HDR, just on auto mode.

Now that I know the x3 can take sharp, hard-edge photos in bright light, I have been experimenting with capture of softer and more painterly images.
Here is sunrise through eucalyptus trees and patchy mist from a series I shot a few days ago. I have cropped the image to get some foreground junk out of the image, and I rotated it a couple of degrees to square up the verticals.

That might be the camera app for windows. The icon is a 20mp camera but you can only shoot a 16mp jpeg image or a 5mp jpeg or 5mp jpeg + 16 MP dng image, you can't select for a 20mp image.

FYI if you change the ratio to 4:3, you use the whole 16mp sensor.

No editing, using auto. Natural Bokeh on the first photo. I don't know why peeps think it is a bad camera lol. Reminds me of the G4.

Front Facing cam with lack of good lighting. I did it on purpose. Man, I have to start brushing my beard in the morning lol.

I got kind of a natural bokeh effect on a pic too, and I had not even noticed. Not as great as the one you shot but noticeable enough in low light...

The camera I believe is manageable. It will never be a lumia 950, but it has steadily improved over time. Lower light shots do better then they did before. Brightly lit environments do really well. Here is one of my cool one eyed cat in a brightly lit kitchen. The other is our mixed breed terrier in less light.

To me the Speakers are the same. And honestly depending on the quality of signal during the call, the call quality via earpiece is poor. It is not horrible, and I blame the sound quality during calls on the carrier I use (at&t) which plays hardball on unlocked phones used on their network. Music plays pretty good on it, only thing I would not mind would be the ability to tune the audio ever so slightly or wishfully to have a working soft EQ onboard.
