Nice image, Sam. (and there are some very impressive images in your photostream).

Thx :) I'm glad you like it. I'm still experimenting with this little monster, but it seams to be getting there ;) (I'm glad you liked them too).

Your series of landscapes is looking pretty nice, though I think that grand landscapes like this most recent one you have could benefit from a bit warmer color tone. This camera phone has renewed my interest in photography.

Thx for input :)
I have used a fast post processing without any color adjustments. I believe there is room for many improvements there.

Another shot from the same day, but slightly different angel and time. Still a fast post processing, but with a new experimental attempt for warmer color.

Thrust SSC taken at the National Transport Museum in Coventry at the weekend while we were at the Gadget Show. 4 sec shutter speed due to low light but came out quite well.

A walk around downtown Dallas.

They are hosted by Tapatalk and I noticed that their compression soften the images quite a bit.

re: Pictures & Videos Taken With My Lumia 1520

The IQ from this device continuous to amaze me.. I am in fact more impressed with this than I was with the 1020 since I already had an 808 and knew what is possible. This tho.. way more compact (the size of the camera module) and it provides great image quality.

I think the snap 800's DSP has a lot to do with this.. I am willing to bet that if the 1020 was Snap 800 powered it would perform way better than it does today.

Thank you!
The big thing is light. Light is everything. If that's wrong, the whole image is gone.

For outdoor it's best to shoot on overcast days or when the sun goes down so you avoid the harsh light of the mid day sun, which washes out colours like crazy.
The next thing is composition. Make sure you show the camera something worth seeing. That part is hit and miss since not everyone shares the taste of the photographer.

This is my favourite one of the bunch and I almost got killed taking it because I had to sit on a bridge with no side walk to take the photo.

I actually use it as wallpaper on all my phones.

Almost a perfect Easter Day in Minneapolis. Straight shot (no alterations other than to scale down to 1080p for this post) of the Old Pillsbury Mill through the Stone Arch Bridge.

Just bought a 1520 and it'll be arriving tomorrow! Will try to contribute to this thread as I love taking pictures. Unfortunately I don't think my home town is as exciting to look at as the ones in these pictures. :grincry:

Here you can find several different photos I shot with my Nokia Lumia 1520. I love my phone and taking pictures with it : )

CES 2014 - AUDI Booth

Our cat in front of the window

We had some real fun while shooting these photos - High Shutter Speed and Light Painting magic : )

LED Stick on my RC Car - Another Light Painting sample

It did not taste as good as it looks : ) - Manuel Zoom Sample

Our cat little bit shocked - A photo edited with Nokia Creative Studio

re: Pictures & Videos Taken With My Lumia 1520

Noob Camera question here. I just got the phone and have just taken a couple of test shots in my bedroom.
Question is, there looks to be a LOT of fuzz all over the view finder, I don't know the exact word for it but it looks very fuzzy/grainy when I'm taking a picture however after I snap the picture it doesn't show that effect. I was wondering what might be causing this and how could I fix it?

That's normal. What you're seeing is noise. It happens when there's an inadequate amount of light entering the lens.
The processing algorithms of the phone are good enough to continue letting in light and piecing the photo together (such as the oversampling) that the photo then becomes (relatively) clear.
Do keep in mind that the "fuzzy/grainy" texture is also important to keep detail.
