I am clearly not a professional photographer, these are all default and automatic settings on the phone. DEFINITELY takes better pictures without the flash.

While the daylight photos on the Lumia aren't much to write home about, the indoor and night time photos this camera takes are just amazing compared to other smart phones. Also very impressed with the Panorama. That shot is in a pretty small room with very little of the fish eye effect most smart phones wind up with.

I'm supposed to comment on your pictures.. but I am INSANELY jealous over your dog park.

That looks really good. Low light situation? or was it that bright in the room?

More importantly... What a adorable pup! I had a dog that looked exactly like that... just a tiny bit browner. Exactly the same fur and patterning, and face :) Do you know what breed(s)? We rescued ours from a busy 4-lane road. No IDs or collar.

It was actually pretty dim, the blinds were all closed.

To get that pic, I think I used night portrait, exposure +2, ISO 100 to reduce the noise, and assist light off.

My dog is half chihuahua and half american eskimo. :)

Judging from the screen name, you must be an import guy?

I just don't know enough about camera settings to know the best way to figure out what everything needs to be set on. Looks like I have some learning to do.

I am surprised at the comment in the video where people say "lumia wins hands down". It makes me wonder if people in the past have had such crappy cameras on their phones, they dont know what detail looks like. I think the iphone is a clear winner in almost every single shot except the low light ones.

Actually, I'm wondering if you know what detail looks like. The iPhone 5 has a nice camera, but it is the clear loser in those video/picture comparisons.

Actually the iphone captures the real color, the lumia looks saturated; its weird because the iphones take pictures extremely saturated.

Based from the testing I've done with my 920 and iPhone, NEITHER captures the real color. The iPhone over saturates and the Nokia under saturates (as far as indoor pictures).

Outside pictures with the 920 surprised me because of all the "daylight issues" I've been hearing about. Refer to my pictures between the two a few posts back and, clearly, the Lumia looks better.

Sorry, but your comments came off as a bit confrontational. My apologies if I misjudged what you were trying to say. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I am waiting for a backordered 920 and was concerned by some of the comments on message boards about the quality of the camera. Having looked at some of the 920 photos posted on this forum I am certain I will be pleased with the photo quality. Thanks to everyone who has posted photos.

To be honest, I'm ****ing slayed of these photos you guys have taken.

The iPhone 4S/5 have the same ****ing camera so I'm gonna compare them with this, and I am shocked. The daylight photos look like you've entered heaven and taken the photos there, the colours are perfectly saturated and the heavy light intake makes the photos look like taken with a DSLR Camera.

Shaking my head at some people who complain, who thinks that this technology lets you aim the camera at whatever and it's gonna do all the work and magically make an amazing image, sigh.

But iPhone overall could ****ing never. And the HTC 8X camera is a joke.

yeah but why would we compare it to a DSLR?

It's a cell phone camera. We want nice pictures, but nobody is going to expect a 100 dollar cell phone to pack as much detail as a 600-5000 dollar camera.
