Sorry for going off-topic. I was wondering if someone might be able to offer some advice. I'm trying to take a picture of our Christmas tree with the default settings. The lights on the tree seem to really mess up the picture because they are so bright compared to everything else. Any suggestions?

low light sample. On the left of the image, is what the scene looked like on my phone (screenshot) and on the right is the picture without flash, no editing whatsoever done.

color me impessed as ****.

What do you mean by messed up? It would be useful to see the picture...

Try turning on some ambient light besides the tree light if you want to see details besides the light bulbs. Flash is usually not recommended because of harsh shadow it creates.

Also try changing the exposure compensation by +-1 to 2 EV in the settings. If you see the light blur, try putting the phone on a support like tripod or table to reduce camera shake. Lumia 920 is easily the best low light camera I've seen but it will still show some blur if shutter speed is very slow in a dark room.

Yep. I live on the Northside in Lincon Park, and spent a lot of time downtown this weekend.

Here is a video I shot of my band playing Good Riddance (Green Day cover) shot on my 920 on very low light :)

I took this self portrait to show my Movember 'stache using ReadyClick! app, standard setting, no enhancements. I tend to take pictures of people with my cellphone so this gives an example of just a normal point-and-click portrait.

This video was shot with the 920 on standard quality (720p). I thought it turned out pretty good for not being on high quality setting and having a lot of movement in the video.

Lowlight picture of my dog on a wet and rainy night. First one is a screen capture showing how dark it was. The second one was with a flash and the third was without a flash. This camera is amazing!!!
