LOL... I'm definitely not a girly type of girl. I hated the magenta theme on my 810. Don't mind it on my 920, though because that particular color looks better on the IPS versus AMOLED screen, IMO. I've used it a couple of times. Pink? Bleh, I can't stomach the pink on either phone, especially with the dark background, which I always use. Currently, I'm using my favorite, cyan.

I couldn't vote for it, but my mother always uses cobalt on her 620. I tried getting her to switch colors and she used steel probably for only a few hours, but she went right back to her trusty cobalt.

Amber is what I'm using right now, but am partial to Steel, Indigo, and the HTC 8X Violet/Blue color.

I would love to see the app tiles match the colour of your theme making it all the more uniform. At the moment, it's a bit spedaggled.

I have used cobalt for some hours now......

It Actually felt quite better than my previous experiences.Only thing I needed was some tile customization , just to make Cobalt look little better.

I've actually only ever used red. From having WP7 on my HD2 to my Radar, 900, & 920. No other tile color is pleasing to my eye. Not sure why, but it really is the only color I can look at for an extended period, on my tiles.

Yellow on my 920 looks a little off. To me it has a bit of a green tint to it.

To answer the OP, I experiment sometimes with different colors but always gravitate back to orange. It just looks better to me than the other available colors.

I think , Cobalt is going to stay on my phone for another 3-4 months , I actually like cobalt right now (Don't know why I didn't find it good previously) And Magenta seems nice as well (but its little girly)

Now , Cyan looks little dull to my eyes.
