Possible to let the windows button blink?

Hi, thinking about the lack of a notification light, would it be possible for MS to let the windows button blink on new notifications without spending juice for the screen? I mean, is it technical possible?

Im kind of curious myself. I started looking into downloading the SDK to see if something can be developed. However, after realizing I need to upgrade my desktop to windows 8, I hit a slight wall.

Hope a developer can chime in and see if there is some sort of development to make it happen. I greatly miss the visual notification of a light flashing from my N8

There was an app on Android that I had that would do this for phones w/o the notification light. It is possible, just not so sure on WP8.
